Game Update 1.3.6 Against All Odds - 8/17/10
| August 17, 2010 Category: Warhammer News | • 0 Comments |

Outnumbered, backs against the wall, the armies of WAR strike out with deadly force to bring the fight to their foes!
We will be bringing all North American and European servers offline tomorrow, August 17th 2010, at 8:00AM EDT (1400 CEST) for the deployment of Game Update 1.3.6, Against All Odds! At this time we anticipate that all servers will be back online no later than 2:00PM EDT (2000 CEST).
Highlights of 1.3.6 include:
Alternate Item Appearance System
No longer do players have to sacrifice their sense of fashion in the name of better stats! To allow players options to customize their appearance players now have the option of selecting the appearance of any piece of equipment while at the same time choosing their best option for statistics.
Against All Odds
Against All Odds: A Realm outnumbered within an RvR Lake will now receive a scaling bonus to Experience, Renown and Influence based on the odds stacked against them, becoming active when a Realm is outnumbered in a specific Lake by 20% or more..
Sovereign Armor Split Sets
The Sovereign Armor sets have been redesigned! We have introduced Split armor sets, giving each Career multiple options of armor selection based on their play style. Players who already have Sovereign Armor sets will find that their armor has been replaced with the newly redesigned “Primary” sets for each Career.

Auction House Enhancements!
The Auction House UI has been updated! In order to improve the user experience, we have removed some of the least used options to provide a more simple and easy to use tool.
And much, much more!
Please be sure to check out the full 1.3.6 Patch Notes here
We’ll see you on the Battlefield!

Update: 1.3.6 Friendly Collision
| August 13, 2010 Category: Warhammer News | • 0 Comments |
After much internal discussion and review of feedback from the community, we have come to a decision regarding the proposed disabling of Friendly Collision in Game Update 1.3.6.
In
game update 1.3.6, Friendly Collision will remain enabled. We feel that
in order to successfully implement as significant a change as this it
is our responsibility to devote more time to testing all of the
potential repercussions and consequences that come with the removal of
this feature. We aren’t taking the option off the table; we still
believe that the rewards of a significant performance increase are a
worthwhile cause, and will we continue to explore other avenues of
making the game even more accessible for more players; however we
believe, at this point in time, this is the responsible decision to
make, in respect to our community.
As a development team it is our responsibility to continuously explore avenues for improving the game experience for all players, both new and old. For many players, the friendly collision feature offers an additional layer of strategy and depth to WAR. For others, the feature can be frustrating and a barrier to enjoyment. However, what it comes down to is will this change to something that has defined WAR’s gameplay since the launch of the game have more Risk than Reward.
Thank you, the community, for continuing to help us shape the future of WAR. Your feedback and participation is important to us as a development team and continues to inspire us every day.
Dev Diary - Item Appearance System
| August 13, 2010 Category: Warhammer News | • 0 Comments |

Today, I’ll be discussing the specifics of the armor appearance changes
as discussed in the last producer’s letter. After much deliberation
about how to give players new appearances without imposing them on all
players, we’re introducing a system that gives everyone the freedom to
choose how they wish to look without compromising their character’s
power.
Update - In Game Auction House 8/13/2010
| August 12, 2010 Category: Warhammer News | • 0 Comments |
In preparation for the significant changes to the Auction House being introduced in Game Update 1.3.6, we will be disabling the ability to create new in game auctions, effective Friday afternoon, 8/13/2010. Already posted player auctions will run their normal course and will still be accessible for bidding or buy out.
Thank you for your continued support.
